Rooted in Ubud, Inspired by Culture and Craftsmanship

Ubud, Bali, is a place where art, culture, and tradition are deeply woven into everyday life. Known for its artistic heritage and skilled local artisans, Ubud has long been a home for generations of craftspeople who preserve traditional techniques while continuing to explore new forms of creative expression.

Inspired by this rich cultural environment, Serayu Pottery was established as a space where local craftsmanship and creativity come together through the art of pottery.

Our story began with Bapak Cameng, an artist who transitioned from painting on canvas to working with clay. What started as an exploration of a new medium gradually grew into a pottery studio working alongside local artisans, creating handmade pieces and sharing the experience of working with clay.

Today, Serayu Pottery offers pottery workshops for people to discover the joy of creating with their hands, alongside custom pottery and ceramic products for weddings, cafés, restaurants, and everyday tableware.

We believe pottery is more than shaping clay into an object. It is a process that connects people to materials, craftsmanship, and the stories behind each creation. Through our work, we hope to continue celebrating Ubud's artistic spirit while sharing the beauty of handmade pottery with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Our studio is easily accessible by scooter or car from central Ubud. From Ubud Palace or Ubud Art Market, you can use Google Maps and search for Serayu Pottery to find the best route to our studio. Travel time is approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on your starting point and traffic conditions.

You can reach us by private vehicle, local driver, or ride-hailing service. However, coming by scooter is often the most convenient option, as traffic in Ubud can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. Be sure to check your route in advance and allow some extra travel time for a smoother journey.

If you're joining one of our pottery workshops, arriving a little early gives you time to settle in and get ready before your session begins.
